I’ve been a beader throughout my childhood. I was offered a job a Bazaar Star Beadery in Ridgewood, NJ at the age of thirteen, but didn’t start working there until after my fourteenth birthday. Throughout high school, I worked at the store, gathering inspiration from people of all ages and backgrounds.

Since I was young, my mother observed that I have an old soul. My interest in fashion, design, and style throughout history set me apart from other girls my age. While this posed a problem for me as a preteen, I soon embraced my passion for vintage, and since have been described as a 20s, 50s, 60s, and 80s girl.

Upon my completion of classes as a senior at Montclair Kimberley Academy, I chose to create an individual project for my May Term (a mandatory senior option). That’s where this web site comes in: I decided to design jewelry and sell my creations for my project. To me, it was amazing that I could receive credit at high school for the creative things I have such a passion for. I started my project the day it was approved by the May Term committee, rather than waiting 2 more months. That is just the type of person I am.

Even prior to my high school graduation I studied art at Parson’s School of Design, New York University, and the School of Visual Arts, and attended numerous art classes at museums and galleries across Northern New Jersey.

In fall 2006, I will began as a freshman at Rhode Island School of Design, which, to me, is a dream come true.
